Upchar Setu was born from a simple but urgent truth — millions of Indian families are caring for ageing parents and recovering loved ones without the support they deserve. We’re here to change that.
Why Upchar Setu exists.
Across India, families are managing home care the way they always have — alone. A working son calling from another city to check if his mother took her medication. A daughter coordinating between a private nurse, a visiting doctor, and a physiotherapist who don’t know each other. An NRI family trying to ensure their elderly father in Bhavnagar is safe, cared for, and not lonely — from thousands of kilometres away.
The gap is real. Qualified home care professionals exist. Families who need them exist. But the connection between the two — reliable, verified, coordinated, and trusted — has been missing.
Upchar Setu was founded to build that bridge.
The name says it all. Upchar — care, healing, treatment. Setu — bridge, connection. Together: a bridge that connects families with the trusted home care their loved ones deserve.
We started in Bhavnagar with a clear purpose: to create a home care platform that families can genuinely rely on — not just to find a professional, but to have a coordinated, managed, accountable care experience delivered to their loved one’s door.
And we built it with two things we knew were missing. First: a belief in prevention — that the best care doesn’t begin when something goes wrong, but before it does. Second: a commitment to connected care — where every professional who sees a patient walks in knowing what every other professional has already found. No information gaps. No starting from scratch. One complete picture, shared securely across the entire care team.
